Videos!!
I don't know how but I've had all these videos and have just taken forever to post them. So here we go. Video number one, Cole is eating chicken nuggets and every time he puts the nugget in his mouth he wiggles his legs. It cracks us up but lets us know he is certainly enjoying his food. :) Video number two is Cole man dancing one night before bath time. I only could catch a few seconds of it because he might have gotten camera shy. The third video is of Cole trying to keep the lid open on Greg's new golf clubs box. When he couldn't do that he decided to try and push the whole box. Silly boy, thinks he's so strong. Enjoy our little man in all the clips!

10 Months!
Last week, Cole was ten months old! Seriously getting close to one year we can't even beleive it. Some things he did this month:
-Learned how to say uh oh. And when he says uh oh mama all together it cracks me up. It also makes the people wherever we are at laugh too. Even though he has no idea what he is saying....
-Started walking while pushing his toys. So cute that he finally learned to BEND his knees when he walks.
-Learned how to scream. I will take full blame for this. I screamed at him to make him laugh during dinner and he screamed back at me. So now we do this often. Including out in public.....
-Learning how to walk holding our hands and boy is he fast!
-Eat big people food. It just happened overnight. Literally. Upon picking him up at daycare one day, instead of his normal jarred food that we send in he had hamburger patties, mixed veggies, and pineapple. WHAT?!?! Cole will eat something besides jarred food? We couldn't beleive that he would eat for them at school! So we have been trying little by little at home. Can't really get him to eat fruits yet but things like nuggets, hamburger, pasta, bread, and cheese have been a success. One step closer!
-Taken more of an interest in books. I can actually read what is on the page before he closes it. And the fold the flap book called Where is Baby's Belly Button? is now missing a flap and some are half chewed. It is is favorite book obviously.
So yet again, another busy month with lots of milestones. In the past three days he has learned how to stand on his own, wave bye bye, and clap his hands. He's growing so fast we can't keep up!

It's getting so hard to get him to lay down next to that bear. It took about 20 of these shots to get the real one....what a stinker.

Training!
Did you know that it's training time again in our house? Oh no, not potty training...too soon for that. :) I'm training for another race coming up in November! It will be my first one in almost two years since I had to stop training when I got pregnant after the Tampa Marathon. And then another 9 months of handling the chaos of raising a baby, well there just hasn't been time. I have had the itch for quite a while. I miss it! So Greg and I decided that it was time for another race. I say Greg and I because he really is a huge part of the process. I train throughout the week right after school when Cole is at school so that is not a problem, but the long runs come on Sunday morning. Saturdays and Sundays are usually my days to get Bubby out of bed and do the morning routine since I miss it through the week since I have to be at work SO EARLY. So Greg gives up his sleeping in on a weekend day for me to be able to train, since I have to be out the door by 7. Isn't he sweet! He works on Sundays usually too, so I have to make sure I'm back by 930 when he leaves.
So it's back out to my trail that I became so familiar with just a short time ago. It's incredible how good it feels to be out there again. It's me time. Nothing else but me and the pavement. What cracks me up too is that even now, two years later there are still those same familiar people, smells, sights that there were last time around. I'm talking even people on the same schedule they were two years ago. For example, I always see the nice Chinese man on his bicycle singing opera around mile 3.5. The man who walks wearing all black and carrying an umbrella rain or shine, mile 4.5. The menthol smell of the landfill I run by....mile 3. It's comical really.
I'm only doing a half marathon this time so it's even better too because it's not nearly as grueling (sp?) on my body. When training for the full I was quite sick and went through a lot of stomach problems that even though were never determined to be from the distance running, it must have been since I haven't had any trouble since. So now, it's half the distance and half the training and SO enjoyable! So November 22nd I will be in St. Pete running 13.1 along the ocean in the Inaugural Running Magazine Women's Half Marathon! Yeah!

That kid
We've come to realize that as much as we want Cole to be the sweet little snuggly teddy bear that we would like, he is the total opposite. He is a rough and tumble, get into EVERYTHING, tank. Who needs toys when he can play with everything he isn't supposed to? Cords? Especially. Curtains....you bet! Broken coaster? Yes please. Broken flowerpot? Of course. Glass vase? Cracked. Dog food bowls? Crawling at them faster than you can imagine. If there is something for this bruiser to get into he finds it. Here are some pictures of evidence. (Yes I realize that there are some mothers who are going to judge me for letting him put the cord in his mouth..but it was for evidence so get over it.) And notice the new shoes. Cracks me up to see him in shoes..
